Episode 72: NY Times Op-Ed

On this week’s episode of The Green Line, Shawn Moran hosts by himself in an effort not to spread the flu. He engages in what the NY Times called “Trump-level tirades.” Shawn has plenty to say about the NYT Op-Ed hit piece.

Shawn also pauses to remember Scot Skinner, one of the producers of The Green Line, who passed away on Sunday night.

Shawn also discusses litigation and grievances over faulty EOTech rifle sights and the murder of BPA Javier Vega, Jr.

Episode 70: Color Blindness

On Episode 70 of The Green Line, Shawn Moran and Thane Gallagher discuss Commissioner Kerlikowske’s visit to San Diego last week and their interactions with him.

The Donal Trump campaign has some very encouraging words for the National Border Patrol Council plus SCOTUS shoots down a flawed case against BP checkpoints, the battle over NTAs, and more!

Episode 69: Green Lives Matter

This week on the official podcast of the National Border Patrol Council, we discuss the Integrity Advisory Panel’s report and recommendations for CBP. We aren’t happy with their inability to take responsibility or how they place a lot of the blame on the Union.

After the commercial break, we talk with Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA) about what he sees happening with the border and the future. it is a refreshingly candid conversation with a legislator who has not forgotten about accomplishing your mission while taking care of your people.

Finally, we continue our fight to bring recognition to Border Patrol Agent Javier Vega, Jr. 591 days after his murder, CBP seems no more willing to classify his death as line of duty. We show that there is precedent for such a move.

Episode 67: Kerlikowske v. NBPC

The gauntlet has been thrown down. In testimony before the House Appropriations committee, Commissioner Kerlikowske had harsh words for the NBPC and any Border Patrol agents that dared to disagree with him or the administration.

Shawn and Thane have plenty to say about this as they take issue with some of the Commissioner’s claims.

The winner of the knife give-away is announced. The NBPC also thanks Senator John McCain for his support and introduction of a bill that would provide financial incentives to agents in hardship locations.

Activists in California are still calling for body-worn cameras for all BP agents. Shawn and Thane explain why this is misguided.

They also get into the debacle that is the Swanton Sector of the Border Patrol. Kuhnanigans abound and it is time that someone does something to stem the recklessness.

All of these topics and more are included in this week’s episode.
