In this Week’s Episode, Art Del Cueto shares some of the messages he has received in his inbox poking fun at his fondness of The Lone Ranger. Right into business, Art talks about the horrific killings which took place south of the border, about 70 miles south of Douglas Arizona. Art shares the info on La Mora that he has learned of over the years. While the investigation in these brutal killings continues, what we do know at airtime, Art shares some of the facts.
The tragic situation can serve as a reminder for the need fo Border Security. Art tells us about a recent shootout between rival cartels in Agua Prieta. Another situation that should also be considered is the firepower of the Cartels in the release of El Chapos son. Guns are outlawed in Mexico and Art and Andy consider how the situation would be different if the citizens in Mexico were allowed to own weapons? The United States has offered to help. Andy asks the question, for anybody thinking about traveling south into Mexico, should people be taking that trip? An easy answer..No.
Art reminds Agents they need to remain vigilant of the dangers while serving close to the border. The recently initiated CBA is discussed with the focus on supervisors following the agreement. The question still has arisen regarding the newly allowed beards for agents. Some have resorted to using diagrams to explain length and shape of the beards? Art shares with us the latest in numbers from the southern border regarding apprehensions.

EPISODE 281: The Amazing Chia Head
In this Week’s Episode, Art Del Cueto talks about his talk at the Walk Away event in Chandler. Art tells us about the attendees and why these people have come together for the event. Congressman Andy Biggs was in attendance as well, Art tells us why he respects and is thankful he is a Representative.
Art discusses the lack of direction from management in regards to the Now in Effect CBA. We learn some of the adjustments that should be happening for Agents according to the CBA. Art has a theory that the weighted collars of management may have a shield to common sense in dealing with Agents.

A Movie is on YouTube which is a false narrative of the mission of the Border Patrol yet the credits in the film thanks Douglas Station and Tucson Sector of the Border Patrol for Assistance in the film. EPISODE 280: Happy Gilmore!
On this Week’s Episode of The Green Line, Art talks about an event he attended on Saturday called Walk Away. Andy Biggs and many others also attending the event including Singer/Performer Joy Villa put together by Brandon Straka. EPISODE 279 : Time to Pay the Piper!
On this Week’s Episode of The Green Line, Art Del Cueto about handling business for the National Border Patrol Council which has had him covering areas from Tucson to Chula Vista to Houston to Washington D.C! In his travels he has been sharing the news and key points of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The Negotiations continue on the separate points outside of the CBA for FLSA.
Art tells us about a ridiculous policy which had the AUSA not prosecuting attacks on Agents. The Tide fortunately is changing and a recent event looks like a prosecution will happen on a reckless escape at a check point which injured an Agent. We learn of the driver and passenger of this vehicle and prior arrest. Art shares a story about a recent visit to a comic book store and a discussion which evolves into politics and an eye opener of how some view Law Enforcement.
Rep. David McKinley of West Virginia is supporting and calling for the addition of Agents. He recently took a trip to McAllen, Texas and commended the work of Agents. Rep. McKinley spoke to those detained and learned of the push from the Mexican Drug Cartels to assist in illegal crossings and lower the cost with the illegal’s carrying drugs across.
Art talks about the departure of Kevin McAleenan from the Administration and how he feels about his leaving the post.

EPISODE 278 : Don’t Mess with The Abuela!
For this Week’s The Green Line, Art Del Cueto talks about the many ways to connect with the radio show through Facebook, Instagram and Twitter instead of Texting; although the downside to texting is when somebody gets your number then can pilfer the gas points! The CBA is done and talks about some of the comments from Agents now that it is accomplished. The process to get this CBA completed came ahead of executive orders and thus has certainly helped the Agents.
Art shares some tragic news of the passing of On-Duty Agent Robert Hotten. Agent Hotten served in the Agency for about 10 years. The Green Line extends Much Respect and Condolences to his family and fellow agents.
Art talks about Garrett Lewis, Morning Man at KNST-AM Tucson, and his recent gathering at Mr. An’s Restaurant. It was a good time meeting others that listened to The Green Line.
A story was recently published which focuses on a legal case which involves a retired male senior border patrol officer and female subordinate agent. While this Legal Matter is being tried in the court system, it then throws shadows on the Agency and the good work of the Men and Woman of the Border Patrol. Lots of questions however we will have to wait and see how this is handled in the legal system.
Numbers of those apprehended in the Tucson Sector are not something to be overjoyed about. An Increase has been witnessed and this can be a clear indication of the need of better barriers or a Border Wall. Art shares a story about getting the Bird! He was simply informing a woman her car was vandalized by a political sticker. We learn how tough Abuela Del Cueto truly was!

EPISODE277 : Signed Sealed Delivered!
In this Week’s Episode of The Green Line, Art Del Cueto is back from Washington D.C. after attending the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) conference. During this event, Art talked with many radio stations from across the country doing almost twenty interviews per day. Also attending the event was Brandon Judd and Hector Garza. Art tells us about some of the subjects covered during the event with the background of how it affects Border Patrol Agents.
Art talks about an interview he did with the New York Times while he was in D.C. Art also recently talked with Jorde Evolve on an Documentary titled “Disculpe Las Molestias” and was featured talking about Border Issues. The interview aired this past Sunday on Telemundo and through editing and commentary it becomes very slanted. Art talks about the process and why this upset him.
The Big news this past couple of weeks is also surrounding the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Art discusses the Operational Mobility Program and the CBA and which goes into effect November 1st. We learn what this has accomplished for the Agents and it is certainly something to be happy with. Art answers some of the questions and responds to a text thread from some agents who don’t seem to understand what the CBA delivers for Agents. A new Border Wall is in construction near San Diego and the process for this getting done.

Episode 276 : Just The Facts Maam!
In this Week’s Episode of The Green Line, Art Del Cueto reminds listeners with question to connect via Facebook and send us a message. The Asylum rules has been adjusted and Art explains why this has been a needed move to assist in proper asylum claims. Hector Garza lays out in a recent interview how the border situation can reflect on living legally in the United States and how it affects citizens. Suggestions from some on how to deal with the situation has many surprised at their solutions.
Art takes a trip to McAllen Texas and spends some time with Chris Cabrera, Manny Rocha and Paul Perez. During the trip Art discovers how the wall in the area had reduced the influx of illegal border crossers. While one of the issues Agents deal with is the human trafficking the other is drugs. The guys talk about the importance of Border Security in stemming the tide of these drugs not only along the border cities but also into Middle America. Andy talks about some of the methods used by the smugglers to get the drugs across with Art sharing a story about a large truck modified for transporting cargo AND illegal drugs.
Art tells us about technology which is in use and how this needs to be placed on Tohono O’odham to help in that area against illegal crossings. These are Aerostats, The Blimps, which feature Night Vision, Heat Signature and are very well constructed against attempted damage to them. The guys talk about responsible reporting and the difference between a talk show and journalism. Art is proud of the work he does, he talks about some of the negative that can come to agents from friends and family but knows the work that he and fellow agents are doing, make a positive difference.

EPISODE 275 : A Slap In The Face
For this Week’s Episode of The Green Line, Art Del Cueto is in a good mood even though there has been some issues that have happened this past week. The biggest was the disrespect extended to the Tucson Sector Local and Agents with Chief Carla Provost visit to the sector yet no attempt to contact the 2544 to go over issues related towards the Men and Woman Agents of the Tucson Sector.
Art talks about a trip along the southern border and the Tohono O’odham reservation with Kyle Reyes, National Spokesman of Law Enforcement Today and Elijah Crane, Brand Ambassador for SIG Sauer Inc, former Navy Seal and the founder of Bottle Breacher. Very cool products that have been presented on Shark Tank. Chris King, Vice President of Pima County Republicans was also along and they all met up with Sheriff Mark Daniels of Cochise County.
Art talks about some of the promises made by Chief Carla Provost and promises not kept for the Agents. Art is unhappy with management not making this happen and continuing to let down the agents. Art highlights some of those managers that have retired and really cared about what they did to gain the respect of agents, the ranks of management now need to take note and do what it takes to make it right. The Peter Principle is in effect with the many of those promoted in current lineup of managers.

EPISODE 274 : Preservation of Life and Safety
In this Week’s The Green Line Lee Smith joins the Discussion with Art Del Cueto about the latest in what is happening along the borders. The guys can’t dismiss the start of the Football season with both the NFL discussed and college football discussed. Who are Art and Lee rooting for and what has Art learned from Lee is answered. We also learn from Art that the Arizona Cardinals are the oldest team in the NFL.
The guys talk about Hurricane Dorian and agents called to action in Florida and along the Eastern United States performing rescues and aid to those in need. Art and Lee talk about how agents over the years have performed these natural disasters. It is evident that the public is rarely aware of how the Agents have responded to this and the guys believe this is largely due to management not sharing this information. Lee shares some insight into the area of Big Spring Texas and why it has been an area that has needed a better system to control the influx of illegal crossers. Drones and other technology have helped to make a big difference however boots on the ground is still needed.
Art and Lee share a couple of stories that were reported with a slant towards the disdain to the mission of the Border Patrol. A discussion is also had with Lee and Art on Ammo Inc and the great deals offered to Agents. We also get to learn the story behind Art’s style and just how many pairs of jeans he has. Art gets a text during the show from one of his childhood idol, we will hear more about that on next week’s The Green Line.

EPISODE 273 : Paint It Green
For this week’s The Green Line, Art Del Cueto talks about wanted to head to Phoenix to check out the Rolling Stones No Filter Tour instead of recording this week’s Green Line Show. Andy has to center Art and bring him down to earth with his comments on how the stones in his opinion were superior to the Beatles. The guys circle back around to the reason for the show, The Border and issues that affect Agents. Art talks about some of the groups that have been apprehended and the wearing of carpet shoes. What are the “Carpet Shoes” and why have these been worn by those crossing illegally? Art shares info on how these has evolved to help in deception for those crossing.
While lately, it may seem as though the issues at the southern border have dwindled down, this if far from the reality. Art shares a story of El Salvador and how they are looking to create their own Border Patrol and why they are looking into this.
Art shares some of the reality for those crossing illegally and how “coyotes” will drop them on United States soil and tell these crossers, they don’t have to walk far to reach larger populations. The truth is, these crossers find themselves in the extreme heat with little water and forced to walk for days to reach the populace. Art explains the reasons and decisions for the adjusting of the length of time detainment takes place, under the Flores Agreement.
Art gives props to Agents which help to rescue and recovery in the field, Borstar Agents, Border Patrol Search Trauma and Rescue. Art wishes that BP Management would do a better job in letting the public in on some of the great accomplishments of our Agents.
