For this Week’s The Green Line Radio Show Art Del Cueto learns more information about the appointment of Tucson Police Chief Chris Magnus to head CBP and it concerned about his care for the Agents and Mission of the Border Patrol. Art has discovered that in the entire time that Chief Magnus was at the Head of Tucson Police Department he failed to reach out to CBP yet when word was circulating on his possible selection to head the Agency, that’s when he cared and reached out. Andy Ask Art if he could pinpoint three things he would like to see with the Appointment of Magnus, what would they be? Increase in Agents, standing by the Agency is pushing for more Prosecutions and to bring back some of the previous policies which was helping to stem illegal immigration. One of those is Title 42, Remain in Mexico which according to sources Magnus does support.
Art informs us about Situations which have become a danger to Agents as well as increased the attempts to get drugs across the Southern Border. Agents have seen a larger number of illegal material confiscated at the Ports and through arrest of those crossing illegally.
The recent elections on November 2nd have proven to be an Eye Opener. Art calls on the Elections in Virginia and New Jersey which could signal a shift in the Voters thinking as to the direction under the current administration and wonders if those decisions are affecting the reelections.
