On this week’s The Green Line Radio Show, Art Del Cueto shares with us his recent trip to Ole Mexican Restaurant in Tucson and meeting some listeners of The Green Line and thanks them and all the listeners that tune in and download the show. On a more Solemn note, Art shares his respects and thoughts on the death of DEA Agent and group Supervisor Mike Garbo, who was killed in the line of Duty in Tucson. Mike was a well-respected Agent who was with the Agency for more than 16 years. A fellow agent was critically injured, and a Tucson Police Officer was also shot in the incident. The Green Line extends the condolences to the family of Michael G Garbo and co-workers for all affected.
Art tells us about his trip to Washington DC for the FAIR (Federation for American Immigration Reform) Event. Senator Kristin Sinema has recently been on the frontlines for standing her ground for not agreeing with the parties’ budget proposal and Art talks about the Senators encounter with some protestors who totally disrespected her privacy by following her into a bathroom.
While in DC, Art talks with the TV and Radio Shows with a Focus on Immigration. While at the FAIR event, Art talks about meeting Representative Marjorie Taylor Green for the first time and connecting with Representative Andy Biggs. Art was also impressed with meeting Florida Representative Kat Cammack. -After being invited to speak to around 100 members of Congress, Art finds out that Representative Cammack has family in Tucson, and or course she is a huge gator fan. He decides to also her if she is a fan of the Seminole’s. This is only because Art is a fan because one of his Celebrity Idols Attended, Burt Reynolds. Turns out, Representative Cammack’s husband Matt has a family connection to Reynolds! Art also shares a humorous interaction with former Commissioner Mark Morgan
To wrap the show this week, Art tells us about the situation that we saw in Del Rio now seems to be replicating itself in Yuma. The problem has not gotten any better. Art calls out the Management should have addressed the news stories that unraveled regarding the Border Patrol Horse Patrol Units and given the explanations of what some thought they may have seen.
