In this episode of The Green Line Radio Show, Art Del Cueto shares his experience of the stress levels and challenges faced by the Border Patrol at the southern border. He recently gave a presentation at the Happy Rooster Cafe in Tucson, where he encountered concerned community members who are worried about the impact of the border situation on their communities. Art discusses the difficulties in finding positive news to share about the situation.
During his presentation, Art shared some information about how Tucson processes individuals who turn themselves in for asylum or are caught entering the country illegally. He also mentions that there are cases that affect the amount of time Tucson can incarcerate these individuals and how cartels are using children to help adults be released sooner.
Art believes that the “norm” along the border has been completely twisted over the last couple of years, and it’s time to get back to healthy operations. He recently participated in a border tour with Kirsten Sinema and others to raise awareness of what is happening along the southern border, with particular concern for the agents of the Border Patrol. Art shared with the touring members about some of the situations they’re finding, such as large numbers of individuals taking Ubers to get a bite to eat before turning themselves in, and emphasizes that this norm must stop.

EPISODE 456- On Top of My Bald Head
In this Week’s The Green Line Radio Show, Art Del Cueto returns from the National Convention for the National Border Patrol Council in Houston. Art shares some benefits on knowing how to speak Spanish and gets extra goodies on his Dinner Plate. We also find the AC on a freshly shaved scalp can be quite uncomfortable and will cause the shivers. Regardless of the personal discoveries, Art shares some of the discussions which took place at the gathering. The frustration felt by many Council Presidents on the current lack of policy from the Administration continues to see number of those attempting entry through Asylum and illegal crossings.
Brandon Judd recently talked on the problems at the top with still shaking his head at the statements of Mayorkas that there is no problem, no crisis at the borders, North and South. Art touches upon the “shiny thing” when it comes to news coverage and continues along with Brandon to get the word out on the issues facing agents.

Art also reminds us that embracing life is so very important and we never know where the road will take us, this after learning of the death of an Agent in the field.
