EPISODE 286 : Photos on a Wall

For this Week’s The Greenline, Art Del Cueto shares a story about his lack of basketball skills and the coach that put direction in his love of sports. An Agent sent a photo in to art on the Wall of Leadership in Border Patrol, a harsh reminder of what Agents are dealing with. Some recent assaults on Agents serve as a reminder for Agents to be vigilant in their safety.

EPISODE 285 : Never Forgotten – The Fallen Agents

In this Week’s Episode of The Greenline, Art Del Cueto tells about his recent appearance on Fox Business and the discussion of the issues at the Border. The segment focused on the recent call by President Trump to have the Drug Cartels based in Mexico to be identified as Terrorist Organizations.

Art feels that some in management at sectors have lost direction. Are these decisions for the good of the Agents? The month of December is a busy month for the Council and Art talks about some other great events he is also involved in with The Shriners. An Upcoming Hot Rod Car event takes place on the 7th at the Shriners Club.

The guys talk about some recent smuggling attempts along the southern border with the arrest of individuals trying to bring Fentanyl across.

Episode 284 – I wanna speak to the Manager!
For this Week’s Episode of The Greenline, Art Del Cueto returns to the studio to discuss the latest in news from the border. Art runs into a former Agent now working for HSI and is complemented on the show and how it gets the truth out on what is happening on the Border. The latest news on the numbers of families requesting asylum at Sasabe has continued to flow. Art tells us the process of what is happening with the processing of these people. In a recent appearance on Fox News Art Del Cueto comments on how some were questioning the deportation amounts under the previous administration versus the current amounts. He explains that distortion and where it is misunderstood.

Art is frustrated with the Problems still existing with management distorting the new CBA. With only five changes to the agreements, Art is astonished it is taking so much for management to understand how this new CBA works for the Agents. Art shares a theory on training which could be optimized.

Art talks about a recent event he attended and getting the opportunity to talk with Donald Trump Junior and Jared Kushner. Art shares his thoughts on the discussion.

EPISODE 283 : Zero Guidance

For this Weeks The GreenLine Radio Show, Art Del Cueto is on the road with the show taking place in El Paso and Washington D.C. HBO did a show which covered the 10-15 Facebook page, comments were made on the show from Mark Morgan regarding punishments that would be handed down to Agents which may have participated in the page. Art does question the thinking in how these will be handed down and shares the Punishment Should Fit the Crime thought and believes that any disciplinary action should also attach managers and supervisors. Some Agents may have also been added to the page by fellow agents or not participated in page activity, should they also be disciplined?

With the new contract in place, Art tells us about the Zero Guidance in respects to management and the agents. The differences are made between those that are managers and those that are leaders.

Art talks about the division in politics and how it shouldn’t affect personal of business relationships. At the End of the Day, it should be about respect.

EPISODE 282 : Happy Little Pine Cones

In this Week’s Episode, Art Del Cueto shares some of the messages he has received in his inbox poking fun at his fondness of The Lone Ranger. Right into business, Art talks about the horrific killings which took place south of the border, about 70 miles south of Douglas Arizona. Art shares the info on La Mora that he has learned of over the years. While the investigation in these brutal killings continues, what we do know at airtime, Art shares some of the facts.

The tragic situation can serve as a reminder for the need fo Border Security. Art tells us about a recent shootout between rival cartels in Agua Prieta. Another situation that should also be considered is the firepower of the Cartels in the release of El Chapos son. Guns are outlawed in Mexico and Art and Andy consider how the situation would be different if the citizens in Mexico were allowed to own weapons? The United States has offered to help. Andy asks the question, for anybody thinking about traveling south into Mexico, should people be taking that trip? An easy answer..No.

Art reminds Agents they need to remain vigilant of the dangers while serving close to the border. The recently initiated CBA is discussed with the focus on supervisors following the agreement. The question still has arisen regarding the newly allowed beards for agents. Some have resorted to using diagrams to explain length and shape of the beards? Art shares with us the latest in numbers from the southern border regarding apprehensions.

Art talks about Daylight Savings and shares a proverb which has us thinking? He also talks about his recent appearance on the Freemason Podcast and why he was invited to be on the show.

In this Week’s Episode, Art Del Cueto talks about his talk at the Walk Away event in Chandler. Art tells us about the attendees and why these people have come together for the event. Congressman Andy Biggs was in attendance as well, Art tells us why he respects and is thankful he is a Representative.

EPISODE 280: Happy Gilmore!

EPISODE 279 : Time to Pay the Piper!

On this Week’s Episode of The Green Line, Art Del Cueto about handling business for the National Border Patrol Council which has had him covering areas from Tucson to Chula Vista to Houston to Washington D.C! In his travels he has been sharing the news and key points of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The Negotiations continue on the separate points outside of the CBA for FLSA.

Art tells us about a ridiculous policy which had the AUSA not prosecuting attacks on Agents. The Tide fortunately is changing and a recent event looks like a prosecution will happen on a reckless escape at a check point which injured an Agent. We learn of the driver and passenger of this vehicle and prior arrest. Art shares a story about a recent visit to a comic book store and a discussion which evolves into politics and an eye opener of how some view Law Enforcement.

Rep. David McKinley of West Virginia is supporting and calling for the addition of Agents. He recently took a trip to McAllen, Texas and commended the work of Agents. Rep. McKinley spoke to those detained and learned of the push from the Mexican Drug Cartels to assist in illegal crossings and lower the cost with the illegal’s carrying drugs across.

Art talks about the departure of Kevin McAleenan from the Administration and how he feels about his leaving the post.

EPISODE 278 : Don’t Mess with The Abuela!

For this Week’s The Green Line, Art Del Cueto talks about the many ways to connect with the radio show through Facebook, Instagram and Twitter instead of Texting; although the downside to texting is when somebody gets your number then can pilfer the gas points! The CBA is done and talks about some of the comments from Agents now that it is accomplished. The process to get this CBA completed came ahead of executive orders and thus has certainly helped the Agents.

Art shares some tragic news of the passing of On-Duty Agent Robert Hotten. Agent Hotten served in the Agency for about 10 years. The Green Line extends Much Respect and Condolences to his family and fellow agents.

Art talks about Garrett Lewis, Morning Man at KNST-AM Tucson, and his recent gathering at Mr. An’s Restaurant. It was a good time meeting others that listened to The Green Line.

A story was recently published which focuses on a legal case which involves a retired male senior border patrol officer and female subordinate agent. While this Legal Matter is being tried in the court system, it then throws shadows on the Agency and the good work of the Men and Woman of the Border Patrol. Lots of questions however we will have to wait and see how this is handled in the legal system.

Numbers of those apprehended in the Tucson Sector are not something to be overjoyed about. An Increase has been witnessed and this can be a clear indication of the need of better barriers or a Border Wall. Art shares a story about getting the Bird! He was simply informing a woman her car was vandalized by a political sticker. We learn how tough Abuela Del Cueto truly was!
