In this Week’s The Green Line Radio Show Art Del Cueto discusses the hearings for Tucson Police Chief Chris Magnus to lead Customs and Border Protection under the Biden Administration. Art talks about what it will take to lead CPB and why he feels the TPD Chief may not me the right person for the job.
With the Confirmation of Magnus, the questions arise as to why this is happening and how the track record of Magnus could be an indication of what could lay ahead for the public and the agents.
Art welcomes Jobe Dickenson, Executive Director of the Combined Law Enforcement Association of Arizona to the Green Line to talk about crime numbers and where they are at in Tucson, and they aren’t in a good spot. Violent Crimes have been up and with a breakdown of the style of Chief Magnus’s Management we understand why this has not helped, While Jobe has some kind words for the Chief, he is concerned on his style which in his time working under Chief Magnus seems to be to Rule By Fear which has does very little for the Fellow Officers and Citizens within Tucson.

Good interview! I knew when Magnus’s name was first mentioned, he would be the worst possible choice for Customs of Border Protection commissioner. He’s a transplant from Kalifornia and the Midwest and knows little to nothing about the border. He wouldn’t even call it a crisis on the border in his congressional interview. He just checked certain boxes with the administration and is anti-Trump and apparently that’s qualification enough. It’s called Kakistocracy (kakə̇ˈstäkrəsē) : government by the worst people.
