For This Week’s, the Green Line Radio Show Art reflects on the discussion last week with Chief Deputy Matthew Thomas. Art this past week attended the Turning Point event in Phoenix connecting with friends and making new connections. Art also shares a valuable lesson he learned from the event. Art has a story to share about the Hotel he stayed at having to deal with Scorpions and a nasty smell which put him in an angry mood. What he found under his bed was not a welcome find.
The numbers in Gotaways are continuing to trend up with more crossing illegally and able to pass Border Patrol Agents. The workload has increased for the Agents in dealing with those apprehended or that have turned themselves in, it is not what the Agents have signed up for.
Art tells us about the Soft Sided facility that is going up and how that will be used. Art shares more information about the nomination of Tucson Police Department Chief Magnus to head CBP. The reactions from some within Tucson and even the Law Enforcement community are not sure if this nomination makes sense. Maxine Waters makes comments which has Art wondering if her statements, a call for confrontation could have caused an uprising.
