In this Week’s “The Green Line” Art Del Cueto outlines some of the positive notes on the Men and Woman of The Border Patrol. Art talks about a young child that was found alone in a field, crying near Brownsville Texas by Border Patrol Agents. Agents cared for the child with the purchase of new clothes and watching movies while trying to determine the identity of the parents. The numbers continue for families crossing illegally and for those with children later determined to be not family and trafficked for the purpose of asylum.
Art talks about the recent panel discussing the University of Arizona students and outsiders protesting Border Patrol Agents invited to campus. According to reports, People were trying to speak in support of the Agents yet were shouted down at the event.
Special Guest to the show, Author – Actor and former Border Patrol Agent Vinnie Vargas visits to talk about The Mayans and his new book Light the Fuse. The book focuses on a journey in life and learning from the mistakes and recovering from them. Making the transition from The Border Patrol to Hollywood was a big step; Vinnie shares some of the thinking that helped him make the jump.
